Driver Arrested After Accident Kills 2 Local Rappers

A man in California has been arrested after driving a truck that crashed, killing two passengers. Both of those passengers were local rappers who were well-loved by the community. They went by the stage names of G-sta and C-LOC.

One of the men had two children, and family members stressed how much he loved those kids. They said he was an amazing man and one person claimed he was like a brother.

The accident happened on a Thursday morning in Modesto, California. The three men were in a crew cab pickup truck, driving down Slyvan Avenue. The truck went out of control, left the roadway and slammed into a tree. There, it caught on fire with the two rappers still stuck inside.

The driver did get out of the burning truck. He was apparently found near the vehicle, lying on the ground. He is 28 years old.

Police have arrested the driver, saying that they believe he was drunk at the time of the crash. He is facing homicide charges. He’s also facing charges for driving under the influence and causing an injury and for committing a felony that resulted in gross bodily injury.

In a rather strange twist, even though members of the local community claimed to know the two men who passed away very well, they all said they had never even seen the driver before. They had no idea who he was. They were surprised that the men would have ridden with anyone who was intoxicated.

Drunk driving accidents are avoidable, but they happen thousands of times every month. When a loved one gets killed in a car accident, especially when children are left behind, the family must know all of their legal options.
